Hi, (forwarding via BTS seems to be problematic now) I am packaging new 2.5.5 now and going over bug list.
What you suggest may be true but this is very broad subject which needs to convince upstream to change README.postfix.gz. So please talk to upstream on these subject. Other issues you raised are valid. I will add README.Debian. I intend to document Debian deviations. Once I add this , I will close this bug. Osamu ========== ORIGINAL BUG REPORT === 1) I think the README.postfix.gz is no longer required anymore. At least I could not found much valuable information in it. The only important thing transport_destination_recipient_limit = 1 is already documented in postfix and it's example master.cf entries for maildrop. 2) You changed some of maildrops default behaviour by patches (which I think is a good thing ;) ), but: Perhaps add a separate section for all of this changes in README.Debian... The drop of the go-r restriction is already documented in some section, but at least the non-removal of trailing newlines (which is a considerable change IMHO) remains undocumented, as far as I can see. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
