Package: makedev Version: 2.3.1-77 Followup-For: Bug #288129 I've just discovered (although I think I vaguely remember seeing it before) that the initial devices in /dev are not created using makedev, but are extracted from a tarball included with debootstrap in /usr/lib/debootstrap/devices.tar.gz.
This tarball contains dev/hd[a-h][1-20] and dev/sd[a-h][1-15]. I guess this means the bugs relating to missing devices during a d-i installation should be reassigned there, although some consistency between makedev defaults and that file would probably make sense. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
