The newest version available from upstream seems to be "GPP1", which is
2 years old and is essentially a beta version of 1.2. I'm not sure that
that should really go in a stable Debian release either...
(According to whohas, Debian/Ubuntu, Gentoo, FreeBSD and Source Mage currently
have 1.1.0, Fedora has GPP1, and Arch Linux has both versions.)
I'm hoping to hand over Tremulous to a new maintainer, so I'll leave this
for them to decide.
