Package: ndiswrapper Version: 1.3rc1 Severity: important After upgrade from linux-2.6.10 to linux-2.6.12 (Debian provided) I noticed that Xorg and events/0 are taking the CPU when I use firefox for browsing high quality photos and sites like maps.google.com, but the system is stable (I cannot crash it).
My system freezes (only power button helps) under similar load quickly if I use my wireless network PCMCIA card (TrendNet TEW-401PC, based on Broadcom BCM94306CB) with ndiswrapped Windows drivers. I did some experimenting and it appears that the network interface should not necessary be up for freeze, it freezes anyway if just PCMCIA card is loaded and ndiswrapper is modprobe'd into kernel. On Linux-2.6.12 this card is very unstable, therefore I moved to official Linux-2.6.13.2 with some trivial source fixes but the problem did not go away. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13.2-b3 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
