Package: fake-hwclock
Version: 0.3
Severity: wishlist
Hi, I'm using fake-hwclock on an old laptop which loses its clock when
powered off and unplugged; expired CMOS battery I suppose. This
package is a good idea, by the way!
With this particular laptop, I don't want to change the clock to the
written timestamp when the laptop did not lose its sense of time,
e.g., if it was kept on external power while powered off. To this end
I added a sanity check against moving the clock backwards, controlled
by a config option.
Also tweaked the packaging slightly.
Instead of including a patch here, I put the changes in a git repo.
git://anonscm.debian.org/users/bap/fake-hwclock.git
Anyone not familiar with git can see the patches with:
git clone git://anonscm.debian.org/users/bap/fake-hwclock.git
cd fake-hwclock
git diff debian/0.3
Cheers,
--Barak.
