I have seen that. On my system I have just alsa (with OSS emulation if
needed) without anything else (e.g., pulseaudio, esd, ...).

With OSS emulation I am not able to run more than one program that uses
it. If alsa cannot be the default backend for libsnack2, it would be
nice to be able to use it where it works.

Moreover I use very often transcriber and wavesurfer at the same time
and this is not possible in my setup without libsnack2-alsa.
