The problem is that failure to adjust your modutils config will make asterisk refuse to start, which is a pretty serious problem. I think displaying a note until this is fixed in the mISDN drivers (will happen soonish) is warranted.
The plan is to push the mISDN kernel fixes (it's a kernel problem) in before the big ABI change that is imminent, at which place the kernel modules will be updated, new userspace uploaded (with versioned recommendation) and new chan_misdn (with versioned dependency) will drop the note entirely.
