I don't think it't the same, original reporter is running testing, while you seem to run stable and 3.8.0-1, which you must have built yourself or installed from wheezy/sid, because stable version is 3.7.6-4. Your system seems to be a nice mix of packages from diferent distributions, so my bet is that some older package has prevented the upgrade of the extra plugins, hence they don't load in newer Claws Mail.
