Is there a chance of cherry-picking the fix into Debian? It's already in upstream git, but there hasn't been a release yet and it's been broken for over three months now. The packaging updates that have recently migrated into wheezy have caused my system to break again (because they don't include the fix but have a higher version than the local package with the fix).
