My bad, I somehow missed the architecture in the original report, sorry. Thanks for gdb output. I'll see what I can do, but at the moment I can't quite understand what's wrong and I'm unable to reproduce without access to mips64... All I can do is to try guessing a relevant change in upstream sources... Meanwhile slightly updated abiword has just been uploaded to unstable - just for the record it would be interesting to see if it is also affected by the problem.
