Hi Charles,
a Debian user find a strange behaviour of netrw when saving over
scp://. The full story is available at http://bugs.debian.org/374328
The visible nuisance is that, upon saving a modified file over scp://,
the user see something like:
"scp://foo/bar"
Error detected while processing function netrw#NetWrite:
line 219:
"scp://foo/bar" E212: Can't open file for writing
:!scp -q /tmp/v123456/7 'foo:bar'
In spite of the file actually being properly saved on the remote
machine.
After some debugging I spotted that the strange behaviour only appears
if 'autowrite' is set. When such a variable is set indeed the execution
of scp trigger an automatic save of vim, which probably bypasses netrw
hooks.
Any idea about how to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Cheers.
