--- Begin Message ---Hi Martin, Could you please have a look? ----- Forwarded message from Francesco Poli <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- Date: Mon, 26 May 2008 22:25:56 +0200 From: Francesco Poli <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Debian Bug Tracking System <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Bug#483062: keyjnote: fails to follow links, when caching is disabled X-CRM114-Status: Good ( pR: 18.9906 ) Package: keyjnote Version: 0.10.2-1 Severity: normal Hi! I cannot follow links inside a PDF presentation, when I disable caching. The documentation (/usr/share/doc/keyjnote/keyjnote.html) states that they will work with pdftk installed, which I have: $ dpkg -l | grep pdftk | cut -b 1-60 ii pdftk 1.41-2 but does not tell anything about caching. However, I tried several PDF presentations with internal links, and they do not seem to work, whenever I disable caching. For instance: $ keyjnote -c none /usr/share/doc/keyjnote/demo.pdf After the initial splash screen, I see the title page. When I left-click on _Future_ (in the top bar) I find myself transitioned to the second page (_Overview_ -> _What is KeyJnote?_), which is not the page pointed by the link... I checked the links with Xpdf and they work flawlessly there... Moreover, links work when caching is enabled, as in: $ keyjnote /usr/share/doc/keyjnote/demo.pdf -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages keyjnote depends on: ii perl 5.10.0-10 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii python 2.5.2-1 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-imaging 1.1.6-2 Python Imaging Library ii python-opengl 3.0.0~b1-2 Python bindings to OpenGL ii python-pygame 1.7.1release-4.1+b1 SDL bindings for games development ii python-support 0.7.7 automated rebuilding support for P ii xpdf-reader 3.02-1.3 Portable Document Format (PDF) sui ii xpdf-utils [poppler- 3.02-1.3 Portable Document Format (PDF) sui Versions of packages keyjnote recommends: ii ghostscript-x [gs] 8.62.dfsg.1-2.1 The GPL Ghostscript PostScript/PDF ii pdftk 1.41-2 useful tool for manipulating PDF d -- no debconf information ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Yaroslav Halchenko Research Assistant, Psychology Department, Rutgers-Newark Student Ph.D. @ CS Dept.
