Hi,

from a user point of view, I’d like to get the „your password is wrong“
message immediately, at least the first (few) times. For example, when
logging in to the console, when I notice that my password was probably
mistyped, I always switch to another with Alt-Ctrl-F2, which is faster
than waiting for the password prompt to re-appear.

I do see the need for a delay against brute force attacks, but it
wouldn’t hurt if the delay was reduced or at first. Is it is possible to
offer that without giving up security, please consider it.

Thanks,
Joachim
