I'm the Debian package maintainer of dvgrab.
An user has repoted a bug, that I cannot reproduce, because I haven't
got a USB video camera.
Could you please have a look and comment the report.

dies in many ways without a meaningful error message in situations with
unexpected errors (missing permissions
to create a file, hdd full during capturing, uvcvideo kernelmodule not
loaded).
