Package: openclipart
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.3
geography/flags/europe/nazi_historic.svg
-> Illegal to distribute in Germany
./unsorted/mobile_phone_01.svg
-> Probably violates some Mobile phone company's copyrighted image
-> Looks a lot like a Nokia
./unsorted/battery_01.svg
-> Violates Duracell's copyrighted image
./unsorted/orange_burner_01.svg
-> Violates Bic's copyrighted image
./unsorted/masonic_square_and_compass_01.svg
-> Might be copyrighted by the FreeMasons
"Smilies"
-> The smiley-face logo is copyrighted by somebody.
-> He might have a case here. I don't know the precedents.
./unsorted/rubik.svg
-> Is the rubik' cube image copyrighted?
Images of specific models of vehicles might be copyrighted
./recreation/packman_01.svg
-> Pac-Man image might be copyrighted
./recreation/toys/wagon_01.svg
-> This type of red wagon is made by a particular company
-> Its likeness may be copyrighted
I would definitely eliminate the Nazi, Duracell, and Bic
images. The rest need further investigation.

Considering all what I said on debian-legal, I consider that the images
provided in openclipart are not a problem concerning copyright or trademark.
I am therefore closing this thread on this mailing-list and the bug report.
Thanks to everybody who help me to understand the problem.
