I'm not a developper at all, so pardon me if my info is not complete,
just tell me and I'll try to provide everything necessary. I don't know
if it's a segfault, here are all the info I get, tell me if and how I
can get more usefull info.

Nothing strange in syslog, except capi releases the channel real quick
(might be a segfault, but I don't know how to verify that).
The fax at the other end picks up the line, but nothing is received, and
after some time it times out.
I didn't look further into #291559 because the original submitter said
that the other end actually received the header line, which in my case
it doesn't receive. The other end doesn't even print a blank page,
nothing seems to be transmitted.
Now I also tried to send a fax *to* the hylafax installation, and
c2faxrecv died.
So apart the header line stated by the original submitter, those bugs
really look like the same problem, maybe the original submitter for
#291559 made a mistake, there are quite a number of similar bugs in
capi4hylafax right now, I'm having a hard time to stay sane :-)
For the time being I'll downgrade to a working setup, I have no time to
experiment further right now, but I'll try your solution to #291559 in
the near future and report if all goes well.
Thanks for your work,
