It may not be a mips specific problem. The glibc fails to build on hppa when switching from gcc-4.1 -8 to -11 (see #428509). The changes in gcc that trigger the failure (currently reduced to about 300 lines) are not hppa specific. Maybe the two problems are related. -- .''`.
