I just tried to figure out a fix for this bug, but whereas phplot is
still working using PHP4 it does not work using PHP5. I checked whether
it works by running all examples provided with the package. While I get
quite nice plots and chart with PHP4 I didn't succeed with PHP5. Using
PHP5 phplot apparently gets into an endless loop giving following error
messages repeated all again:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an
array in /usr/share/phplot/phplot.php on line 4084
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an
array in /usr/share/phplot/phplot.php on line 4084

Note: I needed to adapt the include() statements for the correct paths
of phplot in order to get the examples running.

As there is a new upstream version available which - according to a
brief test - seems to work using PHP5 I suggest to upload a new upstream
version rather than a bugfix. Thus I tag this bug fixed-upstream.

So, please update the package.

Greetings
  Micha
