It appears that this bug has not actually been fixed. The package is
failing to build on all the autobuilders, with the same error as before.
The problem is this:

This only exports a value of CFLAGS that is already set as a shell variable,
but CFLAGS is only being set as a *make* variable. What you need to do is
this:
CFLAGS = -Wall -g -DLDAP_DEPRECATED
export CFLAGS
I assume this worked for you when building locally because you set this
variable while testing the package, polluting your build env and hiding this
error.
