I got everything working for me again temporarily by telling saslauthd to use ldap directly instead of via pam.Can you tell me how you did that? Thx!
In /etc/default/saaslauthd set your mechanism to "ldap". You then need to create the file /etc/saslauthd.conf, into which I put:
ldap_servers: ldap://127.0.0.1/ ldap_bind_dn: ... ldap_bind_pw: ... ldap_search_base: ou=Accounts,dc=jamie-thompson,dc=co,dc=uk,dc=.
There's a full complement of other settings, but these were enough for me.
