The problem seems to be present on i386 only, at least the amd64 and
sparc security updates worked fine.
I'll try to workaround this by forcing the "downgrade" and setting the
package(s) on hold.

Thanks, but were aware. Please check previous reports before filing new ones.
This has been fixed in the just-released DSA 1629-2.
