I think BTS is the way to go: Just file more bug reports and attach the patches. I'll look over them when I return. However, really most issues with mondo need to be addressed upstream ultimately. So, you could also consider starting to contribute to upstream directly. (But I am happy for you to file via BTS and then I push to upstream.)
