No, I did not have time to look at it in detail. Upstream is moving away from the current model and wants to turn DHIS into a web service. I don't expect any updates to the dhis-server code from their side. The problem is what Debian should do. There are two groups of people: one group of people using the service from dhis.org directly, they need only the client, and want it to work with the servers that dhis.org is running. The other group is of people who run their own DHIS server. These want a version of the client and server that can work together. If I look at popcon, I guesstimate the latter group is larger, so I will try to fix the code myself, or revert back to a working version.
