mercurial-1.2.1-2 does not exist for i386, although mercurial-common-1.2.1-2 does. Given that mercurial depends on the identical version of mercurial-common, this prevents installation.
Temporarily uninstallable package in sid is a natural phenomenon, which does not justify filing a bug. However, in this case, Mercurial failed to build from source:
