I do not think that the submitter is wrong with his bug. I updated to 0.5.13-2 and my complete wlan was broken, the LED does not show up any activity, the module wasn't loaded (sometimes), network manager could not find the device, sometimes also iwconfig does not show it up. Then after some modprobe -r and modprobe iwconfig list my wlan device but it does not work. Now I just downgraded hal to 0.5.12~git20090406.46dc48-2 and everything was working like before.
