Ah yes, in fact I scheduled but I didn't update the page, but I'll do
that soon (and publish a pre-release version of 3.0 as well, to get
some bug reports).

Hmm, I read the report and 4.9 of the debian policy and I'm not quite
sure what could be causing the problem. Maybe configuring with --host
could help, but I'm not sure if that's the solution. I have no idea
about the "size of array 'type name' is negative". I'll try to find a
ppc64 machine to reproduce the problem, but in the meantime requesting
more information (like a copy of config.log) sounds like a good idea.
