I thought maybe the SVG file being processed was invalid.  Certainly, inkscape 
should ideally not do this no matter how bad its input is, but the severity of 
the bug would depend on whether the SVG file is valid or not (to me at least).

(By the way, when I looked through the build log again, I noticed that the 
*mateya*.svg files are getting rendered to png files with sizes like 
10000x16000 
or so.  I think I reported something like that at some time in the past, but 
it looks like the issue has crept back in again.)
