You're using a locally-built gexiv2?  Is /that/ built against
libexiv2-6? If you move it out of the way and use the packaged version,
does the error still occur?

I've just extracted the +b2 i386 deb directly from the pool on
ftp-master and:

$ ldd extract/usr/bin/shotwell | grep exiv
extract/usr/bin/shotwell: /usr/lib32/libxml2.so.2: no version information
available (required by extract/usr/bin/shotwell)
extract/usr/bin/shotwell: /usr/lib32/libxml2.so.2: no version information
available (required by extract/usr/bin/shotwell)
        libgexiv2.so.0 => not found
        libexiv2.so.9 => not found

(ignoring the errors as the machine's running lenny and obviously
doesn't have lib{g,}exiv installed)
