The bug log at <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1256697&group_id=12694&atid=112694> shows that upstream has issued an official update for the soname of libsnmp, available in patch form at <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1282477&group_id=12694&atid=456380>. It would be ideal if you could apply this patch to net-snmp and upload, so that the segfaults in packages depending on libsnmp can be fixed.
