Package: extlinux Version: 2:4.02+dfsg-7 Severity: serious Tags: squeeze extlinux-update script quietly overwrites /etc/default/extlinux file on each invocation. The file in question, according to the Policy, is a configuration file, so the local changes made to this file should be preserved. I think handling of this file should be done differently: only create this file if not already exist, and not update it after.
