Hi Mateusz,
it came to my attention that the package gedit-r-plugin is one of the
packages blocking Debians transition to gedit 3. Upstream released a
version with GTK 3 support, so I think it's just a matter of updating
the package. Are you still interested in maintaining the package and
doing the transition? If not, I might help out and update the package.
And if you answer fast enough, maybe even before going on holiday on
thursday.
