Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Upgrading to 1.7.0+ds1-8 reported an error restarting the daemon, I lost
the internet connection.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Downgraded to 1.7.0+ds1-7 from /var/cache/apt/archives:
wicd-daemon, python-wicd, wicd-gtk
* What was the outcome of this action?
Connected again.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Daemon should have restarted cleanly at current version without
needing the downgrade.
Restarting the 1-8 daemon only reported "failed!" - running /usr/sbin/wicd at
a terminal reports:
$ sudo /usr/sbin/wicd

from wicd import wpath
ImportError: No module named wicd
(This was after the upgrade had finished, so 1-8 was fully installed,
before I downgraded to 1-7.)
Currently pinning wicd to 1-7 to maintain connectivity.
