I can confirm that it doesn't work with identi.ca when using OAuth
but it still works fine with basic auth.
(No idea about twitter. But the package is not unusable per se :))

Well, bti hasn't changed since a few weeks. So either we have an API
change -- probably note since Net::Twitter::Lite works and bti in
stable (028-2+squeeze1) also still works fine; maybe this is more a
problem of recent changes in liboauth0?
 
[And bti doesn't build now due to the build-dep on
libcurl4-gnutls-dev which conflicts with libcurl4-nss-dev needed by
liboauth-dev since 0.9.4-3.]
