Preliminary studies show that binutils indeed does the wrong thing here, and
that the above are perfectly valid assembly instructions, this is at least
what the hppa guys tell me. A fix would be greatly appreciated in order to
migrate the new kernels to testing, since the version in testing breaks G5
powerpc64 kernels, not counting assorted security fixes.

I beleive that this was resolved in 2.6.12-10, and in any case
it is definately present in that version. I am closing this bug
accordingly.

I also double checked, and the patch is present in the trunk/ (2.6.13)
tree in SVN, so it should also appear in that version.
