Yes, this was fixed in experimental: < http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gdb/news/20111118T210323Z.html > Hence I downgrade severity, feel free to close the bug if appropriate. Soon gdb-7.4 will be released and I plan to upgrade unstable gdb to that version with the fix.
