Creating the dedicated sympa:sympa user is, per the documentation ( http://www.sympa.org/manual_6.1/installing-sympa#prerequisites ), a prerequisite. Does that mean that when packaged the user creation should be automated ? I don't know a lot about packaging ...

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

   Selecting previously unselected package sympa.
(Reading database ... 13045 files and directories currently installed.)
   Unpacking sympa (from .../sympa_6.1.11~dfsg-2_amd64.deb) ...
   Setting up sympa (6.1.11~dfsg-2) ...
   chown: invalid user: `sympa:sympa'
   dpkg: error processing sympa (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
   Errors were encountered while processing:
    sympa

cheers,

Andreas
