Package: libpolyorb3 Version: 2.8~20110207-1 Severity: serious User: [email protected] Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'squeeze'. It installed fine in 'squeeze', then the upgrade to 'sid' fails because it tries to overwrite files that are owned by other packages without declaring a Breaks/Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Selecting previously unselected package libpolyorb3:amd64. Unpacking libpolyorb3:amd64 (from .../libpolyorb3_2.8~20110207-1_amd64.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libpolyorb3_2.8~20110207-1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/share/man/man7/polyorb.7.gz', which is also in package libpolyorb2 2.6.0~20090423-10 configured to not write apport reports dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) cheers, Andreas
