Package: pokernetwork Version: 1.7.7-3.2 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 9.2 User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package left unowned files on the system after purge, which is a violation of policy 6.8 (or 10.8): http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-maintainerscripts.html#s-removedetails >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): 1m23.3s ERROR: FAIL: Package purging left files on system: /var/lib/pokernetwork/ not owned But while checking the maintainer scripts I found a more serious problem in the chroot: the pokernetwork user had GID=1000 because addgroup is called without --system http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-opersys.html#s9.2 Back to the first problem I noticed: since you are calling adduser with --no-create-home and create the home directory yourself, you should also properly clean it up during purge. (And no, that's not an advice to drop --no-create-home.) cheers, Andreas
