Package: kate
Version: 4:4.8.4-1
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave

When I attempt to save a new file, the dialog box opens but remains completely blank.

When I attempt to use the file system browser plugin to display contents of the filesystem, that box appears completely blank.

In both cases, I get a dialog box window that appears with the notification, "Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'file'."

I've reinstalled libkio5. I have updated my system to kde-standard.
