Hi,

It seems that reporter's environment is mixed of
stable/testing/unstable/experimental
 - it means it's not normal environment. I've installed testing to G4 Cube
(ppc arch) and pidgin works fine.

>> $ apt-cache show liborc-0.4-0
>>Package: liborc-0.4-0
>>Source: orc
>>Version: 1:0.4.16-2

orc version is almost same, difference is that -2 just dealt with multiarch.
orc itself doesn't cause this crash.

So, I suggest all of you to downgrade severity at least and/or reassign
 back to pidgin.

Andrey, please update your environment to testing.
Not make it mixed version environment.

The version of packages are very different as below (diff).
