to bug #317475 on gcc-4.0. As a workaround, you might try compiling with

The fact that the package doesn't build on m68k due to a bug in GCC
isn't a serious problem with the *package*. Filing an FTBFS bug on it
doesn't accomplish anything.
Anyway, it builds now, so I'm closing this.
