Sorry, I forgot to follow up on this it seems. I tested the unit files that simply .include'd the real ones, and that works nicely. Tested the upgrade path too, seems smooth. I promised the maintainer to prepare patches suitable for wheezy, including this one, but did not get around to do them yet. With a bit of luck, I'll have some free time to make this happen around next week.
