IMHO, this bug (if it's one in samba) doesn't fit the definition of "serious", more particularly because it comes in a very specific case and there are dozens of installations of samba that aren't hit by this bug, at all. Not to say this is a minor bug (again, if this is one) but certainly not something that should prevent us to release wheezy with the current samba packages (and we will).
