To Message # 60, it is great to know that at least on your setup, resizing of windows work:
Guest: Debian Wheezy Host: Linux Mint Debian Edition (with Wheezy repositories, but with the latest version of VB, directly from their own rep My case is Guest: Debian Wheezy (I think. I have done dist-upgrade some time ago.) Host: Windows XP SP3 VirtualBox : 4.2.6, 4.2.8, 4.2.10 from Oracle's VB web site. What irrirates me is that before my trial to move up from VB 4.2.6 to VB 4.2.10, the resizing, etc. worked well. [With hindsigt, I am afraid that maybe I compiled the guestadditions from earlier revisionf of VB under maybe a slighly earlier guest kernel, and because WITHOUT recompiling, the older modules worked in the newer combination of the VB version 4.0.6 and the guest Debian kernel, I let it pass. But then, when I upgraded to VB 4.2.10, it did not work initially. Even the file sharing did not work due to a file corrpution from Oracle VB repository. [This is since fixed.] I downgraded to 4.2.8. Then updated guest addition there (recompiled). Now file sharing worked, but I noticed that video window resizing didn't work. That was the day before. So I downgraded to 4.0.6 and tinkered, and in the process, I found to my surprise that we can't compile vboxvideo_drm.c of guestadditions of 4.0.6 even. (So my working vboxvideo_drm module must have been carried over from the older guest addition [with maybe an older kernel???]. Anyway, it is nice to hear that it works on someone's configuration. There is hope :-) Although it is true that VB 4.2.10 may have issues on Windows XP (very old OS), I will investigate for another day.
