Bug#707653: Confirmation of this Bug - Solution by Michael works

For other users bitten by this bug I just wanted to add that the manual 
installation of grub (grub-install /dev/sdX and update-grub) works. A 
following reboot produces no error and grub 2.00 seems to work as wished 
for.
