Thanks for letting me know about this situation. Apparently "Plugins in vendor/plugins (/usr/share/redmine/vendor/plugins) are no longer allowed" in Redmine 2.x.
Earlier I wanted to try "redmine-plugin-markdown" with Redmine 2.x that I tried to install from experimental several times. Unfortunately that was not possible due to missing Depends otherwise I could have declare Breaks/Conflicts with newer Redmine. Anyway I didn't expect that impact would be so severe... Now thanks to your bug report I noticed Redmine 2.x in unstable. "redmine-plugin-markdown" is fixed for compatibility with Redmine 2.x and uploaded.
