Package: tkdesk
Version: 2.0-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

When upgrading from 2.0-2 to 2.0-4, the directory/files list becomes
unusable. For example:
2.0-2 partial directory listing is correct and shows:

lost+found
media
mnt
old
opt
...

2.0-4 partial directory listing is bogus and shows:

lost+found
  %p(%s)

media
mnt
old
opt
...

Highlighting the %p(%s) line shows it's the media directory.
The blank line is actually the mnt directory.
media refers to the old directory, mnt to opt. etc etc.

The occurs with apx 1/6th of the files and directories in the
directory tree.

I've switched back to 2.0-2 and everything clears up. Reinstalled 2.0-4
and the problem is back.

   * Fix an off-by-one error on terminating a string which causes
bizarre display errors when displaying file modes inside

more closely when using -O2. (closes: Bug#339048)
