Okay, I did more poking around, and I'm now fairly confident that the bug is in gnome-codec-install, which attempts to use pygst, which doesn't support Gst1.0. Control: reassign -1 gnome-codec-install Control: retitle -1 gnome-codec-install fails when called from gstreamer1.0 -- Kind regards, Loong Jin
