Package: libtk-img
Version: 1:1.3-release-12+b1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

The saods9 programme fails to start with:

Error in startup script: couldn't load file
"/usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtifftcl3.8.2.so":
/usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtifftcl3.8.2.so: undefined symbol:
TIFFReassignTagToIgnore
    while executing
"load /usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtifftcl3.8.2.so"
    ("package ifneeded tifftcl 3.8.2" script)
    invoked from within
"load /usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtkimgtiff1.3.so"
    ("package ifneeded img::tiff 1.3" script)
    invoked from within
"package require img::tiff"
    ("x11" arm line 28)
    invoked from within
"switch $ds9(wm) {
    x11 {
        # set to absolute path so that if -cd command is used,
        # so we can still find our files
        set ds9(root) "/usr/share/saods..."
    (file "/usr/share/saods9/src/ds9.tcl" line 177)

This problem can also be seen using tclsh

% package require img::tiff
couldn't load file "/usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtifftcl3.8.2.so":
/usr/lib/tcltk/Img1.3/libtifftcl3.8.2.so: undefined symbol:
TIFFReassignTagToIgnore

Maybe it is related to the libtiff5 transition.

Regards,

Yannick
