I took a brief look at it. It seems that the new upstream doesn't believe in a system provided libav, and changed the "build system" to rely on the git submodule linked private copy of libav: https://github.com/astraw/avbin-debian/blob/master/README https://github.com/astraw/avbin-debian/blob/master/build.sh This is hardly acceptable for usage in a distribution such as Debian. In any case, I'll upload a new package of avbin that marks it as orphaned properly shortly. Maybe one of the four pyglet maintainers are interested in adopting it?
